I went to Settings then Mail. There is no autocheck feature in the mail menu. I want it to autocheck. I got my iPhone on 12/28/2007.
I set up Yahoo email on my iPhone but I'm not getting notified when I get a new message. Why????
because iPhone is a bad phone!! Blackberry and Nokia works better;-)
Reply:If you go to Settings, then Mail, there should be three sections, Accounts, then Messages, then Sending.
On my phone, Auto-Check is the first sub heading under messages. You can set it to check for messages Manual (it only checks when you open the Mail app), or check Every 15 min, 30 min or Every Hour. This is only to check the Yahoo mail and put it on your phone.
Go to Settings, then Sounds. Under Ring, the 6th one down is New Mail. Make sure this is set to Yes.
Also be sure that the silencer (located on the left side of the phone is off. If you see an orange dot, flick it forward to turn the sound back on.
