How can I set up my Yahoo email account so that I get instant alerts of new messages???

I recently tried making changes to my Yahoo Toolbar, but it didn't work. Can anyone tell me how to set this up for instant email message alerts? Thanks a million!

You can get new e-mail alerts from Toolbar, Messenger, or your My Yahoo! page.


Download the Toolbar at http://toolbar.yahoo.com


In Yahoo! Messenger click Messenger %26gt; Preferences %26gt; Alerts %26amp; Sounds. Check the box to "Enable alert sounds", then select "I receive a message in Yahoo! Mail" and pick the types of alerts you want to receive. Click "Apply" and "OK" to save.


On your My Yahoo! page you can choose to have a small display of your newest e-mails. This can be done from the "Add Content" link near the top left of the page.





Any of the above options will require you to be logged in to Yahoo with that service.

In My Yahoo, you can use Add To My Yahoo button to Message Centre module to your My Yahoo page. The module you view and compose email.
