How do I set up email notification.?

I don't know when I get emails because It doesnt give me any chimes or whatever. The only way I will know is to go in and check. Does anyone know how to get it to make some kind of noise. Oh yeah I have yahoo.

to make sure the sound option is set up


at top of messenger click messenger


then preferences


then alerts and sounds


put check beside this option





REMOVE OLD VERSION





click start (on the blue bar at the bottom of your screen)


then control panel


then add and remove programs


find the program you want to remove


choose remove





FOR OUTLOOK EXPRESS AND INCREDIMAIL SET UP





if you want to use either with your internet service provider


call your internet service provider for incomming and out going server info etc


then open outlook


at top choose tools


then accounts


then click mail


choose add


enter incomming and out going server,password info etc

VOLUME SETTINGS





first check all wires to speakers


see if unpluged from the back of computer also


then


click start


control panel


sounds and audio devices


volume


put check beside -- put volume control in task bar


make sure muted has not got a check mark beside it


read all settings


be sure to click apply and ok


it will be on the blue bar (task bar)


just click new icon 2 times to adjust sound etc
Reply:Sound alerts only can come thru messenger.Go into messenger and click on messenger ,click on preferences,click on alerts and sounds.Set the message you want sound on with the sound you like.
